Here I am once again, my FT family, asking for prayer.  Tim has been having a difficult time for awhile now and last night was taken to the psych ward at the hospital.   He had every intention (at least that's what he told me) of going willingly but something happened that the police had to be called and they took him up there.  They'll be keeping him another night and maybe be released tomorrow.  If he doesn't feel ready to leave or if they don't feel he's ready, they'll keep him a bit longer.   Dave and I had a meeting with the therapist and Tim this afternoon and talked about a few things, but the 3 of us need to talk alot more.  Some of what's bothering him is us. 

You folks have always been here for me and I can't tell you how much of a comfort and how special you all are to me.

We will certainly keep you in our prayers.  Know that if he has things about you that bother him, that they are not your fault.  As parents we all suffer from some guilt and think that everything is our fault.  As my daughter tells me often, we did the best we could but there are some things beyond our control and responsibility.  I think the world today is too quick to place blame.  Take comfort in knowing that you love him and want the best for him and you always have.  It is good that he sees the need to get help.

My prayers are with you.  You're there for him and that's the important thing.  He may have issues but you are both there to help him work it out.  Sometimes it takes time.  Know that we'll be there for you. Keep us posted and let us know if we can help - you know our prayers are there.

Cindy,  I will sure keep all of you in my prayers.  A lot of young people seem to be stuggleing with all sorts of problems right now.  You know that we are here for you anytime you want to talk, and that we will certainly be praying.

Cindy, although this situation must seem overwhelming to you and Dave right now, please know we are all here for you and and will be praying for a positive resolution.  Also, please remember that all kids have things they don' t like about their folks.  Especially when they are hurting within, some people will look only outside themselves for something or someone to be dissatisfied with.  It often hurts too much to look inside for the real problems because then we realize we are responsible for them. That's scary and to be avoided at all costs, at least in the mind of that person.  

Because they love their parents and know that they are loved in return, kids know it's OK to make them the target.  He knows you will continue to love him. You have done the best you could, as Pam said. Now Tim will have to realize that we are all fallible, including you and himself, and until he does he will not be able to really deal with whatever his issues are.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you, Dave, and Tim are going through right now. I will definitely be keeping all of you in my prayers for as long as you need. We are all hear for you supporting and loving you.

Tim was released yesterday.  I picked him up and brought him home.  He'll be staying with us at least for the weekend.  He's been prescribed anti-depressants and starts counselling on Monday.  All we can do now is wait and see what it brings.    Thank you all for your prayers.
