I am new here, or atleast new to posting, but have followed this board for a long time. I just wanted to post a prayer request for my nephew. His name is Owen and he is 3 1/2 years old. He has been in ICU at several different hospitals since March 12. Today, we got bad news that his liver has shut down almost completely and he is slipping into a coma. They don't give us any hope of a recovery. It's hard to understand why this has to happen to a child. I don't understand what God has planned, but know that he is in control and that his way is always best. I just ask for prayers for Owen and his family.

Eddie said it all. When you are here you are part of a devoted family who care about you and will pray for whatever needs you share. Owen will be lifted up many, many times every day.

We will be praying for Owen here in Maine. The loss of a child is always hard to understand. Know that God is loving Owen through all of this. I do not believe that it is God's plan for Owen to be sick but He will be there with him and his family to love and support them. I believe that God only wants Owen to be happy and to love Him. If Owen cannot be well enough to do that here on earth, then God will take him home to be with Him where "the sun always shines". Lean on God and He will hold you up.

Hi my prayers are with all of you especially little Owen, believe me i know how hard it is to see a little child sick and suffering i went through it when my nephew was that age and very sick you feel so helpless but just keep yourfaith and trust God. I sure hope the little guy pulls through, i recently lost my beloved cat and it hurts real bad so much there are times i cry all night long, but i know it was God's will.
May God bless you, Chickenhawk

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. I know that God answers prayers. Little Owen was healed of his pain yesterday afternoon and now resides safe in the arms of Jesus. I feel so privileged to know this little man. He truly touched the lives of everyone who ever met him. Though the days and weeks and months ahead will be difficult, I find peace knowing that Owen no longer suffers. Sadly, they believe what made Owen so sick is hereditary, and Owen's mom is expecting their second child. We are praying that this baby will not have the same illness. Please pray for strength for this family as we go through the funeral and try to bring some normalcy back to our lives. I have 5 young boys, all under the ae of 13 and they simply can't comprehend all they have been handed right now. Again, thanks so much for the prayers. It really means a lot to me. God Bless each of you.
