Welcome.  What area of the country are you in?  Since being on this board, I have moved from NW WI to the Tampa area of FL and now to the mountains of NC. We have folks from all over--maybe some near you!

Welcome, Chickenhawk.  We hope you'll stay around and get to know the Fortunetellers - we really don't bite.  Hopefully we'll get to meet you in Staunton in September at the festival.

Hi Chickenhawk, welcome to the FTs. We hope you will stick around. There is a great group of people on the board! A couple of us might need some legal advice though!  Grin I'm from South Western NY state and we are having "Florida like" weather at the moment. That can change anytime in this area! Y'all come back now!  Wink

Hi Chickenhawk,

Welcome to the board. As Sarah said about folks being from all over, I am from Southern Massachusetts. We are having the same weather here, Riley. Look forward to hearing more from you on the board.

Welcome to the board, Chickenhawk.  This really is a fun place to be.  I'm from Western Nebraska.  Come to think of it, I think I'm the only Nebraskan on here!  Unless there are some more out there hiding!

Cindy,

I wouldn't be surprised at all if there are more people on here from Nebraska, but just won't admit it. I am the only one on here from Massachusetts, but I found out from having Jimmy at my church that there are other people than myself from Massachusetts who come on here, but they won't admit where they are from because I am the only one admitting to being from Mass.

chickenhawk

We have camped at the KOA in Mims.  It has been a number of years now since we have been there.  We have gone to the space center a number of times but again it has been awhile.

Right now we come to FL in Jan/Feb and camp at Disney.

How do you manage chicken farming in the FL heat and humidity?

I have a  roof on top  of my chicken coup that provides shade and helps keep them cool.
