Rose's Passing

I stopped counting at 49 (maybe I should have stopped earlier!)  This year I celebrated the 3rd anniversary of my 49th birthday, it's easier to swallow that way.

Eddie, it is wonderful that family is being so nice and making sure that you are included in everything.  It is also nice that you are allowing them to do this.  They know you need family very much right now, but they also need to keep that connection they had with Rose.  While they are offering you comfort and support, be aware that you are doing the same for them.  It is a blessing all the way around.

Another moment in the healing and closure happened today.  I was able to visit my Lady's resting site and see the beautiful "rose" colored headstone and the "rose" colored pin vase that were both installed yesterday.  I placed a beautiful bouquet of flowers in the new pin vase. I miss Rose more than anyone can imagine but I find solace in knowing that God took her to Heaven on Easter Sunday, and in His generosity, He had given Rose to me for 50 years of joy.  In our lifetime, I never left the house without a kiss goodbye and we never went to sleep without a kiss goodnight.  On the way home today, I played her favorite song of Jimmy's - My Only Love.

This is so sweet, Eddie.  You have such wonderful memories to cherish for the remainder of your life.  Someday you and Rose will walk hand in hand in a beautiful land where there is no cancer, no pain and no suffering.  Only light and happiness and you will feel her hand on yours, once again.

Eddie, I am so glad that you are able to find peace and comfort.  I know how hard it must be for you.  God is sending you all of these opportunities to get some healing and it is wonderful that you are finding some peace in those opportunities.
