Have you all noticed how the fan club is getting bigger and bigger.  Seems like we're getting to see more "Newbies" joining.

Hey, all you newbies that have joined the fanclub, why not jump in and join this group.  If you're a Jimmy fan, you need to get to know all the Fortune Tellers and no better way than to let us know you're out there.  You've joined just in time to join us at the Festival in September.  You'll get to meet Jimmy and Nina in person in Staunton.  Try opening a new thread and introduce yourself and we'll take it from there.  Or better yet, just join in on a current FT thread.

Last night I noticed over 40 guests on at one time.  As Eddie said, join us and join in.  This is a great place with wonderful, caring people.

I have been thinking about the "newbies" too.  I was wondering what we can do to make them feel more welcome.  I know I just hovered here for quite awhile before a topic tempted me to join in.  Hopefully that is what is happening for others.

Pam,

I agree.  I'm not sure what is pushing up the guest list.  Not sure if it's members just not signing in or a lot of newbies just looking to see what's going on.  I know last year the list was hovering around 1000 for a while now it's increasing everytime I turn around.  Not sure if someone registers and then just occasionally checks in.

Wish we could do something to send them an "official" IM from the Fortune Tellers as a welcome and an invitation to join in the chat.  Maybe Nina could offer us a way we could accomplish that especially with the upcoming festival and now Jimmy's CDs and DVD out there for everyone.

Hello to All,
I've been reading a lot of different threads, and I've got to say that you all are some wonderfully kind and obviously Christian folks.  I've never read a board where no matter what thread I seem to go to there no one uses curse words, no one seems to have a chip on their shoulder, and there's no off-color remarks being thrown around.  And I found this wonderful place after being at the Suffolk, VA concert on March 29th.  I'm going to go post there about the concert next.  Just wanted to say "Thanks" for all who maintain such a refreshing place.

Glad to have you with us.  We may get a bit boisterous at times but we are really here to support Jimmy and his music.

Va. Girl,

This is a great group and nobody gets out of line.  You'll enjoy it here.  We may get a little crazy but you'll realize that after you get to meet some of the FTs.  Plan on coming to the 3 day festival in September.

Welcome va.girl; we are glad to have you here!

Yes, we try to be nice to each other because that is what we are in the world to do:  love God and each other.  (My, I think there's a song in there somewhere.)  Many of us have met other FTs and have become great and good friends.  These folks are the real deal!

Eddie, I was referring to the already-recorded song by the Gaithers, "Loving God, Loving Each Other."  It's great!  If you haven't heard it, you should.
