Hi   I am from the great state of TEXAS,    I like Texas just wish it were closer to Virginia.    
one good thing about Texas,    Monday and Tuesday  of this week we had a ice storm,  on Sat. you could go out side in short sleeves,   old saying for Texas   if you don't like the weather just stick around a couple of hours and it will change.

I think this is great:

I am from Ohio, the home of John Glenn, and our Ohio State (14-0) buckeye's football team.  

200 Hundred years ago on March 1, 1803 Ohio became the 17th state to enter the union.  This is our Bicentennial year and barns across Ohio are being painted in celebration.

Canton Ohio is the home of the "Football Hall Of Fame"  Best of all Canton Ohio was the first place "The Statler Brothers" opened for Johnny Cash about 40 years ago.  Am I proud, Yes I am!
