Welcome! We're all striving to provide a place to come and socialize with your fellow Jimmy Fortune fans, also known as “The Fortune Tellers”. Like any message board, there are some rules that folks must abide by, but generally, if you live by the these rules you’ll get along fine. That said; please review the following material so you know what pitfalls to watch out for. Try to remember you are reading what someone else has written; you are not hearing the tone of their voice. Do not jump to conclusions and take things the wrong way.
The Moderators are here to help you. While monitoring, it is preferable to let the conversation ebb and flow unchallenged and unimpeded, sometimes it becomes necessary for the Moderators to intervene.
The Moderators have the ability and authority to close, re-open, move, split, and delete topics, along with editing individual posts within the forum(s) they moderate.
Moderators will also communicate any of the policies directly to the users by posting in their forum(s) or via direct e-mail.
Moderators have a responsibility to ensure that members are following the community rules, to assist new members, and to help with any information when they can.
Editing Messages:

Editing is visible to the community; whenever a message is edited, the date/time/edit and author are shown within the message.
Closing a Topic:
Moderators can and will close a topic if the message is “beating a dead horse”, at the request of the topic originator, or is an inflammatory “stirring of the pot”.

Banning a member means that he/she can no longer post messages on the this board, unruly members are given a warning prior to actually being banned, since that is a fairly serious step. Only Administrator(s) can reinstate a banned user.
Banning is accomplished by permanently blocking the individuals e-mail address and in some cases their IP Address. Banning of individuals require a majority consensus of Moderators and/or Administrators.
