Pam, it will be 6 years on July 22nd. Daniel was only 17, ready to turn 18 on Aug. 7th and was the summer between his Junior and Senior year of highschool. We certainly did see a modern day miracle.

Carolyn, I just looked back at your first post on this thread and discovered that I was the second person to respond to your request.  No wonder I feel such a part of Daniel's life.  Like I said, it is hard to believe that 6 years have passed.

I know you've been here since the beginning.  It's just hard to fathom it's been 6 yrs.
Got news that Daniel now won't be home till next Wed. instead of this Sunday. Seems like forever.

Whichever it is, he will have gotten so much from those kids and grown so much!  What a blessing.

I would like to see Daniel again. He has a way of making you feel good when you talk with him.

Daniel still is talking about going down for 2 months next summer. We were told that he was great with the kids and that he added so much to the program. He is walking proof of miracles and had great impact on the people at camp. Added note: He told everyone about Jimmy and all of you! He ended up staying an extra week because he was asked to stay on for one more group of campers, which he gladly did.

Sat. he turns 24--hard to believe. Where does time go!?

Oh, how wonderful that Daniel has been fulfilling God's mission for him! He is a very special young man, and I know he has touched us here in as many ways as he must have those youth.  Carolyn, you and Charlie must be so pleased and proud! Now, he needs to do more than tell folks about Jimmy--get that CD player warmed up, Daniel.
