Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in ages, but was one of the first to sign up, so some may remember me. I have a big favor to ask of you. Will you pray for my nephew..please? He is like a son to us and is 17. He was in an accident and thrown from the jeep he was a passenger in. He's in critical condition in Miami Valley hospital in Dayton, Ohio and has severe head injury with 2 bleeding tears in the brain that have to start healing. So far there have been several miracles when he was "brought back" in the emergency room and then survived surgery, then survived the night. Doctors said they had never seen anyone survive this far with these conditions. I believe in the power of prayer and know you all are great people as I have checked in to read from time to time when I was able to. If you could pray for him I will be so thankful. His name is Daniel. Thank you very much.

Thank you all very much. I appreciate your kind words so much. I used to be on here all the time until my pc crashed several times, and our new one got hit by lightning a week after buying it and killed the modem! Those things along with our slow unreliable internet service were the reasons I quit using the computer for the most part. Finally we are able to get DSL and have the fast speed, so I hope to be here a lot again.
My nephew is still hanging in there. They will be doing another scan soon to see if the 2 bleeding tears on his brain are any better, or worse. He was without oxygen for some time after the accident and when his heart stopped. They split open his chest in the emergency room and massaged his heart by hand and brought him back. So the lack of the oxygen for that period of time is a serious concern. I have to believe the miracles will continue with everyone praying. This boy is one of the good ones and I am not saying that because he is family. He truly is. He works as well as being involved with dog training with the 4H club and his dog makes it to the Ohio State Fair every year. Also he is on a softball team. He's always busy with positive things and with church too. His senior yr. of school begins in a few weeks. At this point we are still having to wait things out. Again, thanks so much and I will keep you updated.

Of course we will all be praying! The power of prayer is indeed awesome, and we will also ask that you keep yourself safe and calm for him.

Yes, we will certainly pray for your beloved nephew. It sounds like he has been through so, so much already. I can only imagine how all of you who are close to him and love him are feeling at this time. When the life and future of a loved one is endangered and threatened, it is extremely difficult and heartbreaking for the family. Our prayers will embrace your nephew, Daniel, his parents, and all of you family members. I know that God and prayer still can result in miracles. I've experienced it right here on this website with the many, many compassionate and kind people I've come to know.
May God be with you all, and especially with Daniel. (That is my husband's name, too.) I pray He will shelter you beneath His great wing and give you comfort and the miracle you pray for.
God bless you, Carolyn S.

May God be with Daniel. He does answer prayers and miracles! So you hang in there! Prayers will also go out to you and your entire family.
Welcome back to the board, we're glad to have you back, I just wish it was under different circumstances. Please keep us informed on Daniel's wellbeing.

You all are just the best. No words can express my feelings and thanks. I wanted to get on and give a quick update. Daniel is still about the same. They said that he is experiencing more pain, but not to be alarmed and that they are medicating him more for it. The scans will be done either overnight tonight or during the day tomorrow, depending on how busy they are with emergencies. The results will be the big factor for what comes next. We pray the tears and bleeding have healed some...... We live about 40 minutes north of the hospital and there is construction on the interstate. I can hardly stand the ride down there each time. Every day there are pileups down close to Dayton because of the mess from the construction. My husband just got back to work July 12 after being off work since April after having a heart attack. He's not supposed to have stress or get overly tired! We don't have any kids ourselves and Daniel has been like our own. So you can imagine how worried I am about my husband too. I have to go now, but thank you for the prayers and words you have written to me. You have helped me and I wanted to tell you that. Thanks all! Carolyn C.

Carolyn,
Thank you for taking the time to update us on Daniel's condition. I know this is a very tough time for you and your husband, especially since having his heart attack.
I will certainly pray for God to be with each of you, and especially with Daniel, of course, and guide his path, and bestow His wisdom upon the doctors caring for Daniel, also.
Please keep us posted as you are able. There are many, many kind and caring FTs here who will put you at the top of their prayer lists.
God bless you, Caroyn S. South Bend
