As I've noted before - I don't make this stuff up - it just happens......

Rose always had a quiet religious side to her.  She frequently read the bible, prayed the rosary, read from prayer cards sent to her by the St. Anthony's Guild, and had religious statues, etc. in the house.  She donated frequently to the St. Anthony's Guild (for the poor).  And I've kept her relationship with the guild intact by taking over her desire to financially help the Guild.  That all being said......

Rose had a tiny crucifix (cross with the hanging body of Jesus) that I had found after she passed on the window sill ledge above the kitchen sink in near proximity to the bread toaster.  I had always left it where I found it.  It measured about 2" x 1" and was made only of plastic.

I use the toaster daily and frequently clean the bread crumb trays.  Today I decided to thoroughly inspect the inside cooking area of the toaster and I found the Cross inside the toaster where the heating elements are.  I have no idea how long the Cross was there - 1 day, 10 days, 100 days?  But apparently I must have knocked the Cross off the ledge (hidden behind the new curtains that I had replaced several months back that were eerily named "Rosemary" on the curtain package that I previously reported).  I know I haven't touched the curtains in at least a week - so we'll say 7 days. 

After I dislodged the plastic Cross from the inside of the toaster, I found that the top edge of the vertical beam showed only minor melting and the outer edges of the horizontal beam had minor melting on both outer edges, the remainder of the Cross and the entire body of Jesus were unaffected by the intense heat of the toaster and showed no signs of melting.  And I use the toaster daily including this morning.

My, isn't she getting inventive?  Not that you needed any more reminders, Eddie! We all know just how special your Rose is in your life.

I just wonder if the coils in that toaster are working right or if she is trying to tell you something.  Maybe you need to have it checked out.  Oh, and is it too close to the curtains?  If so, Rose to the rescue!

The coils are plenty hot - I get toast every morning - and I always move the toaster away from the wall near the curtains - and btw, it's a four slice toaster - and I only use the right side normally - and that's the side I found the Cross in.  The toaster sits against the window ledge/curtain area when it is off - and I agree - that I problably knocked it in the toaster when it was off - and the evidence is there that it was subject to the heat because the edges melted.  I just think she's sitting there with God and they're making up ways to mess with me.

We had dinner with our friend who lost his wife last month.  We were talking about Kathy and about Rose.  I told him that you keep getting little messages.  He says that folks have been warning him that this sort of thing might happen.  I can't wait to see if he gets little messages.  He did share that one of Kathy's brothers that he never had a good relationship with has spent a lot of time with him lately.  Kathy kept telling Armand that he needed to give Rick a chance.  Kathy will keep nudging him, and her brothers, just like Rose does you, Eddie.  Kathy prayed for Rose all the time, as I asked her too often.

I'm glad that you and Clyde got to spend time with Armand.  It really helps the healing process.  Rose's sister, Eleanor, has been so supportive and has kept in contact with me by phone and makes sure I attend all the family get togethers on Rose's side of the family.  Also I have 3 brothers and their families who are always there for me.  I'm happy that Kathy talked to Armand about giving Rick a chance.  I'm sure, in time, Kathy will let Armand know that's she's close by.  It doesn't happen often and sometimes it's just a memory of a wonderful time or maybe a Jimmy concert or the FW festivals and being with all of the Fortunetellers. Although Kathy and Rose never knew each other personally in this life, I'm sure they are together now on "The Other Side".
