Danny Boy
« on: June 10, 2011, 09:32:23 PM »
I do hope Jimmy sings Danny Boy at the festival.  He did that so beautifully while on the cruise.  Some tissues were being passed around on that.

I would get down on my knees and beg but I may never get up.  This is the best I can do.  Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease.

One of my all time favorites too Sarah!  I second your request! :)

Give me the grace to see a joke,
To get some humor out of life,
And pass it on to other folk!

Billie, I think Laura hit it right on when she requested that Jimmy sing Danny Boy!  It certainly was powerful.  You were also a huge contributor, getting the music for him.  Not easy to do when you are out on the "high seas".

Hint, hint, Jimmy ;)

Billie has told me about Jimmy's absolutely awesome rendition of "Danny Boy" and Dan and I would really LOVE to hear Jimmy sing this at the Festival this year.  Since Billie has noted that she can't get down on her knees to beg, I am offering to do it in her stead.  I WILL beg and I WILL grovel!!  Please, Jimmy, oh please?????

I will be down there begging with you, Carolyn.  It was an incredible experience.  I would think Jimmy would add that number to all of his shows!  WOW!!!

I don't think any of us will have to go that far. Something tells me Jimmy hears us and will to try to make it happen---as he has in the past. ;) :)

It was absolutely the most beautiful version I have heard.  My sister is trying to sign up for an account to put her two cents worth in.

I was more than happy to get the words for Jimmy.  I would do it again and again.

I will join you guys, since my knees are younger. Unfortunately I'm not good with begging, so I'll leave that up to Pam and Carolyn.

I remember the goose bumps and the tears.  I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.

I can't do the knee thing, either;  but I can beg.  Puleeze, Jimmy, do Danny Boy at the festival.

Jimmy sang Danny Boy on the cruise in January.  He did the best version I have heard.  I now have waterproof mascara an eyeliner.   Just saying.

I have heard the Three Irish Tenors sing the song and Jimmy does it so much better.
