Hobo
Eddie:
Bob,
We're still with you and your family as Hobo's final resting place comes in June. I'm sure these early days are difficult and the memories are so vivid. Somehow, as the time passes, God eases the pain and takes our loved ones to a better place. I somehow got a scene in my mind today as I thought about Hobo and Rose - can you imagine Hobo and Rose sitting around talking with God and then Jimmy's song comes to mind - "On the Other Side". As much as I miss Hobo and Rose - that scene just seems Heaven sent.
Know that we're with you, Bob !! All of us !!!
Eddie

The Buzzard, the Bat, and the Bumblebee
THE BUZZARD
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top,
the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner.
The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet.
Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly,
but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.
--------------------------------
THE BAT
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air,
cannot take off from a level place.
If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and,
no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air.
Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.
---------------------------------------
THE BUMBLEBEE
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out.
It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out
through the sides near the bottom.
It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.
--------------------------------------
PEOPLE
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee.
We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up!
That's the answer, the escape route and the solution to any problem...
JUST LOOK UP!
sorrow looks back,
Worry looks around,
But faith looks up!
Live simply,
love generously,
care deeply,
speak kindly, and
trust in our Creator,
who loves us.
Eddie:
Bob,
The story of the Buzzard, the Bat and the Bumblebee tells a lot. I hope all goes well when you get to Maine.
Let me know if you are still coming through Philly - and we can connect on the layover. I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow and will return on Monday, June 4th.

Bob:
I will be using that travel plan,it's carved in stone,Will be calling as I go,Am glad you like the thing Larry sent me,he thinks a lot like my brother ,just that he wears a fishing hat and caries a fishing pole, what wonderful friends he had growing up,and they all stuck by each others side,He came to the Washington D.C. Veterans Hospital as John was breathing his last days of breath,he spoiled my sisters Ann & Barbera by cooking them breakfast,Keep in mind this is a disabled Airforce man who unsuccessfully fighting the Government for Veterans Benefits as I had to do for 9 years till they did the right thing,Air force ,bad ears, and a government asking him to prove they had anything to do with it? and look at the wonderful, compassionate, caring, and giving man he still is,that does say a lot, glad you enjoyed his message to me,knowing I need a lift as things get a little closer as the days creep closer to Johns funeral and closure to the painful experience he had to endure, Ohhhhhhh, one last thing SSI turned him down stating in his last letter ,He didn't work hard and Long enough in his life time, only worked since he was 13, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, He like Larry Kept his sense of humor till the end. Thanks to all for the prayers, remember us as we are now on;y 22 days till the funeral. My LOvE and gratitude to all. ;D 8)
