Dorothy #1 Here we go again-UNFORTUNATELY

First of all I want to wish everyone a very safe weekend!!!

Second- Dorothy is back in the hospital again.  I have not been posting about all the things that have been going on since the beginning of the year.  This is the 9th time that mom has been in the hospital since Jan.  She has been dealing with congestive heart failure, her COPD and her surgery for her gall bladder and pneumonia.   Her last hospital stay at the beginning of May ended with a 2 week stay in a nursing home to regain her strength.
Unfortunately she ended back in the hospital on Wed. of this week with what we thought was more of the same.  But after the tests we found that she has fluid around her heart and her heart function has declined quite a bit since March. She was supposed to have a heart cath yesterday but because of all the fluid on her lungs they postponed it until Tues.  We will find out more after that.
The Doctor was very honest with her about her condition and even suggested Hospice. Mom understands but has said that she will not give up and will take 1 day at a time.
Please pray for her and the family. We really need all the strength we can get right now. This year has been really tough and it looks like it is going to be a very trying time over the next few months. Mom has always said that the Fortune Tellers kept her going all these years so we would really appreciate your help now.
Thank you for all you have done to inspire mom all these years and through all the illnesses.  Please continue your prayers for her, she really can use them!!
I will keep you updated on her condition.

I've been praying ever since you called. Your Mom is a fighter and that means so much. Let her know we are thinking of her and praying for her and ALL of you.

Cindy, Barb and Donna!!  I too wanted to send my prayers to Dorothy and the three of you.  I have fond memories of all the Statler concerts we went to over the years and also the tapings of the Statler's show in Nashville.  What wonderful times we had.  Give Dorothy my love.

*************UPDATE*************

After treating mom for bronchitis over the weekend, they were able to do the heart cath today.  It confirmed what they had told us, that her heart has weakened and there is no medicine or quick "fix", her heart is just tired and has gotten weaker.  They are keeping her in the hospital to make sure the dye from the test has not effected her kidneys.   Unsure of what will happen next.
Please keep her in your prayers and I will let you know what is happening.
