I've tried before and just now tried again tonight to make my own avatar on here and it's not working.  Is there something I'm doing wrong, or are there instructions somewhere?

I've been wondering the same thing - I've tried with no success.  I had one years ago but it disappeared.  I've seen one or two but don't remember who have them.

I see that Julie (Parrothead147), Kathy (KK), sta51(john), Jan, and gregf, among others, have them.  It's also obvious that John's and Julie's are "self-made," so it can be done!  I sure hope somebody here can direct the rest of us who need help!  I want SO BADLY to use that picture I took of Jimmy and Lynn last week as mine!  It's what I'm using on Lynn's board!

There was a setting that was wrong that was preventing the avatar upload. I have it fixed now so give it a try now.

Take a look at mine. Everyone says I look just like Nina...  ;)
