Clyde got the job!   I told Nina on Saturday that it might happen and we would join them on the cruise.  When we left the show, I told her that I would see her in September and she added "and in January!"  We are waiting to hear about the pay and the duration of this position.  We will also need to collect a paycheck or two, but I am determined to be on this cruise.

I would love to go on this cruise, and even Dad picked up a pamphlet Saturday and he said he would never go on a cruise, this is another example of what Jimmy can do. We are looking into seeing if we can afford to go on this cruise in addition to going to to visit my aunt and uncle next year, like we promised them with the expenses of Mom being in the hospital. I saw quite a few people Saturday take a pamphlet that Nina had set out.

We just sent in our cruise reservations!  I can't believe we are actually going to do this.  Nina, the brochure really helped convince us.

This is going to be a great cruise.  I really want to start packing but know that isn't a great idea just yet.

I'm with you, Billie.  I suspect our clothes would not look too pretty closed in a suitcase for 6 months.  Still it is tempting.

We really wanted to go. We looked into the pricing, and unfortunately realized that we will not be able to afford it this year with still paying for Mom's hospital bill from March, and with the realization that we will have another hospital bill coming up for Mom's thumb. One of these years I really do want to go. If we can get up healed up in time, I would love to go the Festival this year, though.

Heather, we have wanted to go for a long time, too.  We realize that this is probably going to be a once in a lifetime event.  I hope you can make Festival.  It is a great time and you meet so many wonderful people.

Debbi, we will let you be the countdown person, otherwise I will be ready by tomorrow.   ;D

I'm with Billie.  I went shopping last night and got some ideas for clothes that I will need.  I saw things I liked but mostly things I wouldn't or couldn't wear in a hundred years!  It is all I can do to not be packing now.  I need to focus on Festival first.

Billie, there is no way that I could be ready tomorrow.  I still have clothes to buy.  I really don't have much to wear because nothing fits me anymore.   And I have to get a couple of things altered to fit.  I did talk to Lynette and there is 3 formal nights on this cruise.  So that is going to be fun figuring out what to bring.

Pam, I went to Kohl's today and found somethings but I wasn't shopping for the cruise.  A lot of the stuff I found was sleeveless which would be o.k., but they were too dressy for the poolside, but not dressy enough for the diningroom (if that makes sense).  But I don't want to wait too long or I won't be able to find anything at all.  You can't wait until November or December because they don't have summer clothes out at that time.

And I will be happy to be the official countdown person.  But right now I will try and only do it monthly.

I know what you mean about Kohl's.  I ran through there the other day and nothing was exactly right.  I saw a top and skirt at Dress Barn that could work, but they were expensive.  I know what I want but I need to spend a bit more time looking for them.  I have a few dresses that could work, we will see.  Pam
