Rose's Passing
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:38:09 PM »
It's with a very heavy heart that I let you all know that Rose passed away late this afternoon after we transferred her to a nursing home several days ago. Funeral arrangements are pending and I'll keep you all advised.

Oh, Eddie, it is with a heavy sad heart that I read your news. I wish we all could be right there to give you help and support at this devastating time. Our prayers are with you for help getting through this time and the days to come. You will be in our thoughts constantly. I'm sorry, I'm not good with words at times like this, but please know we care so much.....

Oh, Eddie, Carolyn said it so well--what heavy hearts we have to learn this sad news.  Yet the first thing that struck me after the sorrow is the day on which Rose went to Heaven, and why she has that assurance.  Today, Easter, the celebration of the resurrected Christ, gives Rose the joy of being with God because of that miracle.  She is with Him now, and she is not in pain or fear anymore.  She is safe at home.

You will be in all of our hearts and prayers, Eddie, as you pass through these next days.  Know we are with you and love you, just as we always have loved Rose and the two of you together.  When you need us, come and tell us; we will be right here.

My heart feels so very heavy and sad for you, Eddie.  The only solace I can find in this news is that our sweet Rose is free from her sufering and has gone home to be with the Lord.  We are with you in though and prayer at this terribly sad time.

Eddie, I, too, am not very good with words.  It was with a very heavy heart that I read your post.  Prayers are going up for you and the family.  Rose will no longer be in pain.

Eddie,

I don't know why I didn't see this last night.  I guess I just wasn't meant to know until today.  Our hearts are broken and although we knew it was coming, I think we are also stunned.  Her suffering is over and she is safe in God's arms.  I just wish there was something we could do to ease your pain and suffering.  Please know that we are holding you as close as we possibly can.  Eddie, you did all that you could for Rose.  I am thinking back over the posts that the two of you shared about the trips that you took together, the wonderful gifts that you showered her with, and just the time that the two of you spent together doing what you loved to do.  You filled the time that the two of you had with lots of love and happiness.  Regret nothing.  Rose would tell you that you made her very happy.

Rose, we will miss you and you will not be forgotten!

Love Pam and Clyde

Eddie, I don't know what to say except Rose was a wonderful woman and she was truly blessed to have you as her husband.

Mike and I believe the following.  When you see a penny on the ground, pick it up.  It is a penny from heaven and someone that loves you is sending them.

Rose will be missed by all of us.
