Nina, I will meet you at Union Station in Chicago.  I think the trains west all meet there.  I still think we will take the train.  I tried to picture myself on a plane and it wasn't working for me.  I really want to do this cruise.  I just need to work out the finances with Clyde.  We are going to Florida this winter and the kids and grandkids are going to join us.  We may be broke by June!

Hey Nina,

I just can't resist this idea.  How about Jimmy making like Hannibal on The A-Team and you make like Mr. T.?

Hannibal would always manage to give Mr. T a shot to make him sleep and when he woke up, they would all be at their destination.  ;D

Billy's wife asked me about that. I didn't know if they would let anyone on the plane like that.

Nina, contact you Dr and ask about anxiety medication.  You may have to start now to get the one that works for you.

I am flying to Va next  month.  I really must learn how to exhale.  Going to the dr next week to get cast off will see what she recommends.

One time my friend took medication before a flight home from Puerto Rico and then she called home to find out that there was a blizzard.   She didn't want to hear that so she took a second pill and when she was on the plane, she kept smiling broadly and asking every 10 minutes "are we there yet".   She seemed to look like a loony and when they landed her family took her to dinner and she fell asleep into her plate, so only take the prescribed dosage!!!! :o

I could have used anxiety meds on our trip to WY.  Can you drive while on them?

We heard of a lady that took Benedryl when she had to fly. She slept through most of the flight. I think that is what it's called. Correct me if I'm wrong you medical folks. :)

I checked Amtrack fares from BUffalo,NY and it's $300 more than flying. If a person wants to avoid flying, the price difference would probably be worth it. Good luck all! ;)
Give me a sense of humor, Lord,

And pass it on to other folk!

Riley, you are right!  My mom used to gave that to me when we would travel because I used to get so car sick.   It really works. Slept the entire way!  :) If we decide to go on this cruise, I would have to take it.  Haven't been on an airplane in 22 yrs.

Benadryl is an ingredient in Tylenol PM.  Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't.  Last night it didn't.
