Whew! Yesterday (9/7) was the first day of Sunday school, and Rally Day. We had so much to do the last few weeks, my boys though we moved to church. I was finally able to be home and do some laundry today.
Thank you again, for the birthday wishes. It's so nice of you all to think of me.

Aww thank you so much, y'all! It has been so busy, I haven't been on in a while. On my birthday, I worked 7 hours and we had open house at school for both boys. There was no time for celebrating much. My dad did make me a cake (tradition) though. The sad part was that I wasn't home long enough to have a piece until two days after my birthday. 
Oh well, the boys start school tomorrow, and hopefully we'll fall into a good routine.
Thank you all, again, for the nice birthday wishes. (I'm not sure if it's because it was said so many times or just because we've been so busy, but I feel at least twice as old.)

I'm glad it worked! The boys were supposed to sing the ooooohs to "The Great Pretender", and the other kids were supposed to help him sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Jimmy said the little ones had said that they weren't going to sing, so at least they were honest and they looked cute. Our boys were probably annoying the people around us, because they kept singing along with Jimmy's songs. When they got up there, they froze. They didn't know the song, and Josh is pretty shy. I think they would have been more comfortable singing a Jimmy song. Oh well, it was an experience. 
It was a beautiful evening and we had a lot of fun!

Thank you so much for coming, and for putting up with us, Jimmy. What a great show. (As always)
I brought a friend to the concert, and she decided to get Jimmy's attention when he was trying to warm up. I felt bad that she bothered him. She said, "he didn't seem bothered". I explained that Jimmy wouldn't act annoyed even if he was. After the show she told Jimmy about her son who has Duschenes Muscular Dystrophy. Jimmy signed a CD for him, and that meant a lot to her.
We drove 5 hours each day, in order to bring Andrea and get to the concert, and Jimmy did not disappoint. I need to know how to get him up here. I know a guy on the county Fair board, maybe I can talk to him?

I can't tell you how excited we are!!!!! Mike will be out-of town, but the boys and I will be there!!! It's about a 2 1/2 hour trip from our house. It's a breeze compared to the last 2 trips we made to see Jimmy! Josh (6 1/2 yr old) said Maybe I can get his autograph! (Like he never has before) :0) My boys adore Jimmy and Nina, as do the rest of us. Are you coming, Nina?

I have been a teacher for children who are deaf / hard-of-hearing, and have worked with children who are autistic. What kind of autism? Each child is so different, and the challenges of each family equally diverse.
