I want to second the thoughts..When my brother Bob passed away a couple years ago the flowers the fund sent meant a lot..Not to be silly, but it makes me sort of wish we all lived in our own little town so we could feel the hugs and hear the good wishes verbally, but absent of that, the Flower Fund is a great way to show the FT family we care..Thanks to all involved..

Right in our own area (Canton/Akron, Ohio) while we've got some good rain and lightning/thunder..People directly south(I'm talking as little as 10 miles south to as far as Columbus and beyond) Have power out and lots of trees down, etc..Some are saying they may not get power back until as late as Thursday or even later..Prayers for the folks having trouble right now..

I just got a deal through T-Mobile and Wal-Mart..$30.00 a month for 100 minutes talk and unlimited Text and 3G Internet..Just started my 4th month with this deal and The most minutes I've used in any one month is about 60..You have to buy the phone at Wal-Mart but you can sign up online at T-Mobile.com or activate it at Wal-Mart..I would do it online though..

In looking through the DVR Program Guide for the coming week, I see Wilson Fairchild (Formerly Grandstaff-Wil and Langdon Reid) is scheduled to be on Larry's Country Diner over RFD-TV Thursday Night at 8PM ET  and Saturday Night at 11PM ET..Should be fun and an absolute blast..

I'm on Twitter, but only in connection with my Vintage Broadcasting Blog, etc..The only posts I do are directly from Blog-to-Twitter or from my Classic Media FB page to Twitter..As Sarah said, a lot of my own time is spent on Facebook..I have no real desire to "Tweet" on that much of a personal level I guess..

You also have to deal with more spamming on Twitter.  I guess if I wasnt already on Twitter in connection with my hobbies, I probably wouldnt be on at all..

All that said..TLones1480 in case anybody cares to follow me.

Just  finished watching the first part.  After only seeing the edited down TV version, this is awesome!.I know most of the regulars here probably have this set, but if you don't, you have to get it soon..I was remarking to my wife Linda that these DVD's, especially on the TV Show Gospel songs, look better to me than they did when I saw them originally broadcast in the 1990's.  And to see the guys just shooting the breeze with each other and with Bill Gaither, is really precious..Phil even opens up a little..

Eric John Hawout, (pronounced Howitt)A Young Man out of Warren Baptist Temple in Ohio has a gospel singing ministry with his family..He was at the church I attend, Massillon Baptist Temple this morning and will be there tonight..He and his family are very talented and he has a great tenor solo voice.  In looking around for more information on him I found this YouTube clip of him singing the Statler Brothers Gospel song, "Who Do You Think?"  from their "Holy Bible New Testament"  Album they did in the 70's..

A friend a few years ago gave me nearly 6 hours straight through of audio from Television station WEWS-TV Channel 5 in Cleveland, Ohio dated Friday, May 24, 1963.  Among the shows broadcast that day was Talk Show "One O Clock Club" which aired from 1-2:30 PM, and was a big hit until Mike Douglas came along on rival KYW-TV 3..

Part of this show featured Young Southern Gospel Group The Goss Brothers singing a neat little song called, "I'll Be So Happy There"..The Brothers were singing at Cleveland Baptist Temple that weekend..What is unique about this is that Southern Gospel Music was just  getting started in Northern Churches, and to have a secular program feature a Southern Gospel group in the early 1960's was extremely rare..Host is Bill Gordon who was on radio and TV in Cleveland and other places from the 1950's to the 1990's..

I also visited a Half-Price Books Store in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago.  It was a little bigger seemingly than the Cleveland area Store.  I should mention that Items may not be in all stores, though it seems prices ought to be the same no matter where you go.  They also seem to be in the bigger cities..

I make a daylong trip to Cleveland 2-3 times a year.  Today I was at a suburban Bookstore called Half-Price Books..Found both volumes of the Gaither Statler Videos packaged separately for $9.99 apiece.  Half-Price Books is a chain store with a number of locations nationwide..Wish they were closer to me..

Just a note for all that Have The IHeart Radio application for IPhone, Android, etc.. put out by Clear Channel Radio..They finally added WKDW-AM 900 Staunton, plus you can listen live online at wkdwam.com
