R.I.P. George.  Who's gonna fill your shoes?

It was announced this afternoon that Kenny Rogers, Bobby Bare and "Cowboy" Jack Clement will be this years additions to the country music hall of fame.

All good picks.  I am really happy that Bobby Bare made it. He has been overlooked for years, and finally got the nod.   :) :) :) :) :)

Still a lot of deserving folks out there to put in the hall  over the next few years.  People like Alan Jackson,
Ronnie Milsap, Charlie Daniels and many others!

I saw Dailey and Vincent a couple of weeks ago, andy they put on an awesome show.  I would agree that Christian Davis could pass for a young Richard Sterban of the Oaks!

 ;) :D ;D

Jimmy as usual, was awesome!  Bill Anderson made reference that Jimmy did a song with Dailey & Vincent also.  I wish they would have shown that one too! :-*

Our local radio station just played "Flowers on the Wall". Today is the anniversary that the song was recorded  3-13-1965. Doesn't seem that long ago!

The country family reunion shows are wonderful, I enjoy them very much.  The episode that aired last night ended with Dailey and Vincent singing one of the great Louvin Brothers songs "When I stop dreaming", and of course they did a magnificent job on it. They also talked about the show in Tennessee next February that they will be doing with Jimmy, which will be done in quartet style with Jimmy.  They said will doing a lot of country classics on the show.

Sounds like a great show!

I googled "Statler Brothers" Church in the Wildwood".  It took me to amazon, where it said that the song was on "The complete Lester Moran and theCadillac Cowboys album.  Which leads me to believe it was done in the "Roadhog" style rather than the Statler style!

Jimmy did give the crowd the "wow" factor when he sang "my only love" on CFR!  I watched the episode last night . Jimmy did not sing on that one, but I was really impressed with Jim Glaser, he sang "Woman, Woman".  He was very good. If you get a chance I highly recommend watching the Country Family Reunion shows, they are well done.
