Jimmy stuff / On The Other Side.
« on: January 20, 2012, 05:42:16 PM »
I owe Jimmy a big thank you.  My brother died two days ago of alcohol related health issues.  I have found a lot of comfort in the song "On The Other Side", which I know he co-wrote with some others.  This is such a comforting song.  I posted D&V's version of this song on my facebook page.  :'(

I haven't posted in a while.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that it is a Bill Gaither Production.  It was from my Facebook account, in which I have the Bill Gaither group as a "like", that I heard it was #1.  They said it was the first time one of the Gaither videos made it to #1 in the first week of release.  It is definitely worth having, as they have clips from Cathedrals, including a clip of Glen Payne singing a verse in We Shall See Jesus, in perfect sync with EH&SS.  They members of the Younce and Payne family in the audience as well.

Sounds great.  I have their boxed set, but another greatest hits package is always welcome. :)

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound's new DVD has reached #1 on the Billboard charts the first week of it's release.  It is a wonderful DVD full laughter and tears.

I simply adore Tom Selleck, I have since Magnum PI.  I will have to check out his show.  As for Hawaii Five-O, I never watched it that I remember. I was only a little kid when it was on. (I was a teenager in the early 80s when Magnum was on).

He's as good an author as a singer and songwriter.  I will have to get the newest one. :)

It was a great festival and packed so full of talent that it is hard to describe.  I know that a lot of hard work went into planning the festival and I want to thank everyone involved.  It was a great success with what I refer to as "big time and big name entertainment".

I have to say, Jimmy truly held that audience in the palm of his hands last night.  One thing that really touched my heart (I don't think that those of you sitting to the right side of the stage could see this)...when Jmmy started to sing "The Wall", a man wearing a Viet Nam Veterans cap walked down the isle and to the first row.  There, he slowly raised his hand to his cap with a salute to Jimmy.   What a touching and memorable moment that was for me.

That is just so touching.  I have always been sad at the way people used to treat Vietnam veterans.  Singing a song about the wall was always a touching thing. It is one of my favorite Statler and Jimmy songs.

John and I love Ernie Haase and Signature Sound.  They have an awesome sound, awesome singing voices, great personality, and more.  They are the best of all the new Gospel groups in the past several years.  We saw them on Nascar singing the National Anthem and were astounded on how great they sounded.   8)
Honestly, we can't get enough of them!
